You're soaking in it

As Marcuse pointed out, there is such a thing as totalitarian democracy, and to quote an old detergent commercial, "You're soaking in it."

About me

Name: Paul Frank
Location: Huémoz, Swiss Alps

I am an English translator from Chinese, German and French. Between getting a B.A. in Chinese studies from Leeds University in England and M.A.s in Chinese history from Michigan and Harvard universities, I spent six years studying and working in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I now make my home with my wife Véronique and daughter Laura in a small village in the Swiss Alps. This scrapbook is meant to help me remember, and if it amuses you, so much the better.
